Skardu, nestled in Pakistan's Gilgit-Baltistan region, is a gateway to K2, the world's second-highest peak. It sits at an altitude of 2,228 meters (7,310 feet), surrounded by stunning landscapes of mountains, rivers, and valleys. Skardu offers attractions like the historic Skardu Fort and adventure activities such as trekking and mountaineering. The K2 Base Camp, Concordia, and Gondogoro La Trek is one of the most iconic and challenging treks in the world, offering breathtaking views of some of the highest peaks in the Karakoram Range, including K2, the second-highest mountain in the world. This trek is known for its stunning scenery, including close-up views of some of the world's highest peaks and challenging high mountain passes.
Day 1 (Departure for Mansehra)
Islamabad to Skardu Departure at 7:00 PM.
Dinner at Mansehra at 11:00 pm (Aprox)
Overnight in travelling.
Day 2 (Departure for Skardu)
Breakfast on the way at Naran / Dasu.
Departure for Skardu, Lunch stopover on way.
Overnight & Dinner in Hotel at Skardu.
Day 3 (Rest Day Skardu)
Rest Day / Shopping Day at Skardu.
Overnight at Hotel.
Day 4 (Skardu to Jhola 3200m)
Skardu to Jhola 3200m
By Jeeps drive to Jhola.

Note: The road conditions from skardu to Jhola is rough & highly uncertain and often gets blocked due to land slide.
Day 5 (Jhola to Paiyu (3600m))
Jhola to Paiyu (3600m)
Start on a relatively easy trail for 6-7 hrs.

Day 6 (Piyu to Khubursay (3800m).)
Piyu to Khubursay (3800m).
Trekking mostly along the crest of lateral moraine with stunning views of Paiyu Peak, Chorichi, Uli Biaho, Trango Towers and so on. Trek Time: 4-5 Hours

Day 7 (Khubursay to Urdukas (4200m))
Khubursay to Urdukas (4200m)
Trekking mostly along the crest of lateral moraine with stunning views of Paiyu Peak, Chorichi, Uli Biaho, Trango Towers and so on.
Urdukas is a spectacular campsite. Trek Time: 4 Hours

Day 8 (Rest Day)

Day 9 (Urdukas to Goro II (4500m))

Overnight in Tents. (A long walk on Baltoro Glacier)
Trek Time: 6-7 Hours
Day 10 (Goro II to Concordia (4700m))

5-6 hours slightly easy trekking with spectacular views and gigantic mountain panorama, including Muztagh Tower, Gasherbrum IV, Mitre Peak and the mighty K2.

Day 11 (Free Day)
Free Day / Rest Day at Concordia (4700m)
Overnight in tents at Concordia. (Trek to K-2 Base camp optional)
Day 12 (Concordia to Ali Camp or Back via Same Route. (4700m))

5-6 hours slightly easy trekking with spectacular views and gigantic mountain panorama, including Muztagh Tower, Gasherbrum IV, Mitre Peak and the mighty K2 / Trek back to Askole.

Day 13 (Ali Camp to Khuspang (4680m))
Ali Camp to Khuspang (4680m) via Ghondogoro La(~5900m)
Note: 8-10 hrs start very early in the morning for the strenuous and steep ascend to Gondogoro la (high pass), descend to (2 am) the high camp (Khuspang) on the other side.

Day 14 (Khuspang to dalsangpa (4,400))

It is a beautiful campsite at about (4,400)meters, set between two lakes, with Masherbrum Mountain and the white glacier cascading down from Masherbrum Pass reflected in the still water.

Day 15 (Dalsangpa to Shaieshcho (4000m))

Resume trek along the path; Keep yourself on the left side of the lateral moraine, crossing several side streams.
The next hour is an unpleasant scramble along the stony, sliding glacier edge, with huge boulders poised above, ready to fall.

Day 16 (Shaieshcho to Hushe)
Shaieshcho to Hushe, Lunch at Hushe and Drive back to Skardu.
Overnight in a Hotel at Skardu City.
Day 17 (Departure for Islamabad)
Rest in Skardu at Hotel till evening.
Departure for Islamabad at 4:00pm.
