The Everest Base Camp (EBC) Trek is an adventure above the clouds, nestled in the Khumbu Valley, attracting global tourists. EBC offers a stunning view of Mount Everest, standing at 8,848m, and the iconic Imja Tse, also known as Island Peak, at 6,189m. Island Peak, initially named by Eric Shipton in 1953, is a popular choice for climbers due to its manageable technical aspects. The trek, spanning 16 days, starts from Lukla airport and includes acclimatization in Namche Bazaar. Climbers spend four to five days reaching the Island Peak Base Camp, preparing for the ascent. Using crampons and ropes, climbers navigate the glacier to reach the summit, offering breathtaking views of surrounding peaks like Lhotse Shar and Ama Dablam. Tenzing Norgay, part of the British team preparing for Everest, first ascended Island Peak. The descent follows the main Everest Trail back to Lukla Airport.
