Takht-i-Bahi is an old Buddhist monastery found on a hill in Mardan, Pakistan, built around the 1st century AD. It is famous for its stupas (shrine-like structures), meditation rooms, and meeting halls. The buildings show the unique art and architecture of the Gandhara region. Its hilltop location kept it safe and peaceful, perfect for monks to live and study. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage site and helps us understand the Buddhist history of the area.
