Skardu Baltistan is a city in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan and serves as the capital of Skardu District. Skardu serves as a pivotal base for mountaineers embarking on challenging ascents of some of the world's tallest peaks, including K2 and Broad Peak. Situated in the northeastern part of Pakistan, 6 kilometres (4 miles) wide by 23 kilometres(14 miles) long Skardu Valley, at the confluence of the Indus and Shigar Rivers at an elevation of nearly 2,500 metres (8,202 feet). skardu is close to the borders with India and China, it lies within the striking Gilgit-Baltistan region, known for its rugged mountain terrain and splendid landscapes. It's renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty. Skardu is a popular destination for tourists, trekkers, and mountaineers. The region offers breathtaking views of the Karakoram Range, encompassing K2, and serves as a gateway to various trekking routes and base camps for mountain expeditions.
Day 1 (Departure for Naran)
Start of your journey early in the morning from Islamabad at 6:00am for naran.
Travel on majestic Hazara Motorway.
Reach at Balakot after 4 hours drive & have breakfast at Balakot.
Enjoy the picturesque drive as you pass through lush green valleys, meandering rivers, and charming villages.
Short stops at Kewai waterfalls and Kaghan.
Continue Drive to Naran.
Photography and Sightseeing enroute to destination.
Arrival in Naran in 7-8 hours and Transfer to hotel.
Overnight stay at Naran/Batakundi.
Day 2 (Departure for Skardu)
Breakfast in Chillas/Naran.
Departure for Skardu.
Short stay at Lulusar lake, Babusar Top, Nanga Parbat view point then 3 Mountain Junction.
Travel via Jaglot and Astak.
Continue journey for Skardu
Arrival in Skardu in the evening.
We will first visit Upper Kachura Lake, only a 20-minute walk from Lower Kachura.
Enjoy boating in Upper Kachura Lake.
Visit Lower Kachura lake is also known as Shangrila lake.
Visit beautiful Shangrilla Lake which alluring the tourists.
Explore and enjoy the unique beauty of these lakes.
Drive back to hotel & overnight stay in Skardu.
Day 3 (Visit to Shigar)
Breakfast.
Photography and Sightseeing.
Departure for Shigar Valley.
Stopover for photography at Cold Desert.
Enjoy a distant view of Blind Lake and the Sarfaranga Desert.
Visit the old town Shigar and the famous Shigar fort (built in the 17th century by the Raja of the Amacha Dynasty of Shigar).
Leisure time in the peaceful lawn of Shigar fort. Visit Amburiq Mosque(one of the oldest in Baltistan).
Drive back to Skardu.
Overnight stay in Skardu
Day 4 (Visit to Khaplu)
Breakfast.
Drive to Khaplu.
Visit the largest majestic Manthoka Waterfall for 1 hour with a cup of tea
Stopover at the confluence point of river Shyok River and Indus.
Continue driving to Khaplu.
Visit the old town of Khaplu and the famous Khaplu fort (built in the mid-19th century).
Visit 600 years old famous Chaqchan Mosque.
Drive back to Skadu.
Overnight stay in Skardu
Day 5 (Visit to Deosai Plains)
Breakfast in Skardu.
Departure for Deosai Plains.
Embark on a scenic drive to Satpara Lake.
Stopover at scenic Satpara Lake.
Photography and Sightseeing.
Continue for Deosai Plains.
Visit Deosai top, Bara Pani and majestic Sheosar Lake.
Spend leisure time at Sheosar Lake and enjoy views of Nanga Parbat from a distance.
Drive back to Skardu by evening.
Overnight in Shigar / Skardu.
Day 6 (Back to Naran)
Start your day with breakfast .
Check out from hotel and departure for Naran.
Travel through Astak and Jaglot, soaking in the scenic views.
Head towards Babusar and continue towards Naran.
Photography and sightseeing on the way back to Naran.
Arrival in Naran & transfer to hotel.
Overnight stay at Naran.
Day 7 (Back to Islamabad)
Breakfast at Naran at 7:00 AM.
Departure for Islamabad.
Short Stays at Kaghan, Balakot, Hazara Expressway.
