It has borders with Afghanistan to the northwest and China to the north. The Hunza River runs through the valley, which has an elevation range of nearly 7,788 metres (25,551 feet) in Ultar Sar and little under 2,500 metres (8,200 feet) at Karimabad.Hunza is situated in the extreme northern part of Pakistan, bordering with the Wakhan Corridor of Afghanistan and the Xinjiang region of China.Hunza is a popular tourist destination due to its location and climate.
Day 1 ()
Departure from Islamabad for Chilas 6:00 am.
Travel through Hazara Motorway and then to Thakot Motorway.
Short Stays on the way at Besham, Dassu, Samar Nala.
Arrival in Chilas and transfer to hotel.
Overnight stay in Chilas.
Day 2 ()
Breakfast.
Departure for Hunza Valley.
Travel on Karakorum Highway (silk-route). Stopovers on the way at scenic attractions including 3 mountain ranges junction, Nanga parbat viewpoint and Rakaposhi viewpoint.
Arrival in Hunza Valley.
Visit Altit fort and Royal Gardens.
Drive to Duikar (highest point in Hunza Valley to visit majestic sunset (if time allows).
Visit local market of Karimabad in evening for shopping and leisure.
Overnight stay in Hunza.
Day 3 ()
Breakfast.
Whole sightseeing tour to Khunjerab Pass.
Visit all majestic locations on the way including Ganish Bridge and Ganish Village, Attabad Lake, Gulmit, Passu Cones, Passu Glacier, Sost and Khunjerab Pass (till route is accessible for cars) .
Drive back to Hunza. Enjoy leisure time in Karimabad local market.
Overnight stay in Hunza.
Day 4 ()
Breakfast.
Visit Baltit forts. Sightseeing in Karimabad market.
Departure for Hunza Valley for Chilas.
Stopovers on the way for sightseeing and photography.
Travel on same Karakorum Highway route.
Arrival in Chilas and transfer to hotel.
Overnight stay in Chilas.
Day 5 ()
Breakfast.
Check out from hotel and departure for Islamabad.
Travel on same Karakorum Highway with stopovers on the way at Samar Nala, Dassu and Chilas.
